For over four decades, Carol Burnett has won the hearts of America's audiences as the long-reigning queen of comedy TV and Broadway. With a sparkle in her eye and a dance number or two, this talented performer overcame a difficult childhood and broke the Hollywood mould with her self-titled, 11 season strong variety show, garnering 23 Emmy Awards in the process. Now she brings her wit to theatres across the US in a show that looks back to the highs and lows of her remarkable career and life.
In the style of The Carol Burnett Show opening segment, the format will allow the audience to engage with Burnett and ask her questions, creating an unscripted, spontaneous dialogue filled with reflection, honesty and humour. With grace and kindness, Burnett allows the audience in and the nostalgia flows as she regales the crowd with candid tales of Hollywood and the art of entertainment.
