Love Jesse but
I was in the forth row and the two drunk ladies behind us talked for the entire performance. Ruined it for me and others. The show was missing some of the great instruments and artists that he had in prior shows. Matt is very talented and despite the disturbance behind us I really enjoyed the music and the reverb.
Awesome Canadian talent
Jesse Cook has his own distinctive sound you can recognize anywhere. His concert didnt disappoint and it left you wanting more despite to encore performances. The musicianship of this group is spectacular.
One of the best
I have seen jesse more times than i can get in many cities Sometimes his concerts are great sometimes not so But with this new lineup he was so energized My only quibble was that jesse God bless him Cant hold a candle to chris church when it comes to vocals Otherwise this was one of the performances by him I have ever seen
Great concert
Reverb on the bass terribly loud during first set. Luckily corrected after intermission. Loved every song and all the music was delightful. Jesse is a favorite of mine since he started years ago! Come back soon !!
Jesse Cook NAC 2022
Worth the wait! I had heard many good things about his concerts. Last night the wait was over. I had tickets 2 years back for “Tempest 25 Tourâ€. Which Covid-19 had this show re-scheduled 3 times then refunded. Ticket for last nights show went on sale end of 2021. The show was both highly charged with anticipation and the band that has repertoire were all a great backing and passionate players. His interaction with the audience of 1500 had some great stories of songs, life, and appreciation to be back on stage. A few encores and a unplugged with a Thunderbay gifted guitarist ending a stripped down “fall at your feetâ€. Outstanding introduction to Jesse Cook last night. Thank you Jesse Cook!.
Over electrified
Fabulous musicians (smaller group than anticipated), 20 yrs on, many of Mr. Cook's new pieces sound too much alike, but as Paul Simon said, sometimes you just run out of new ideas. Good venue, but sound over engineered for the intimate space. The best part was the two pieces that were played unplugged" during encore. BUt, I am still a fan of this virtuoso, and will be following Matt Selleck(sp?) as well.
